Don't believe me? I know why would you. Currently all you can do to buy flight tickets is log on to one of those travel portals and search for the price that suits you and purchase it. There is nothing you can do about it. But now there is a new startup which will give you an option where you can put your own price for the flight tickets.

Infiniti Software Solutions Private Limited has launched  a website called AtYourPrice.in where price conscious flexible Consumers can buy products/services at the price that they are willing to pay and Vendors can dispose of unsold inventory at prices lower than the published price. 

At present the site includes Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines, Indigo Airlines and Paramount Airways. What you have to do is, select the To and From city, date range, timings, airlines and number of passengers. Now you can put your price per passenger (including tax) that you are willing to pay. If the price that you put is too low, it will prompt you to increase the amount.

As I was trying from Ahmedabad to Mumbai(round trip) and I started with Rs. 1000 (I know I am cheap..hehe) and it prompted me that the price is too low. I then entered 2000, 3000 and after entering 4000 it accepted my amonth and created an iternary for me. If you are registered with that site, you will receive an email with the updates later whether your bid was accepted or not.

If any of you have used or seen Priceline, AtYourPrice.in is running on the same concept. In the future, AtYourPice.in plans to add more products/services such as hotel, holiday packages, car rentals and other travel services under this concept. So you can say that AtYourPrice is an Indian Priceline? Well time will tell.
