The Miniatur Wunderland model railroad in Hamburg, Germany is the largest in the world, covering 16,146 square feet of space with more than 10,000 train cars running around its 6.8 miles of HO scale track.
With the construction cost of 8.7 million Euros, Miniatur Wulderlands has 250,000+ lights, 3000+ building and bridges, 160,000 figures, 4000 cars, 165,000 tress. The place has used 4,500 kg of steel. There are plans to double to layout by 2014.
