So finally, all the odds of Web18 group are now under one umbrella. Web18s started opening up portals in every niche they thought is HOT. Web18 started Yatra.com, BookMyShow.com, JobStreet.com, CricketNext.com, CompareIndia.com and what not. Now they have realized that its going out of control and thought of brining those domains under one roof?

In.com, thats the new horizontal portal by Web18 group which provides you news, music, videos, games, shopping and email services. The moment I found out that Web18 group's horizontal portal is In.com, the name clicked me. 

I used to read Startups.in which helps Indian startups to find sponsors and investors. Around one and a half year back (422 days ago to be more precise), the owner of in.com was looking for sponsors and investors (check this link. I am pretty sure Web18 group wasn't in the picture that time.

If you look at the archive.org, it gives you the "way back when" feature where you can see how a particular site looked like in the past. I was able to take a screenshot of older In.com domain below.

So finally Web18 group bought In.com domain and now its in invite only mode. But there is a loop hole or I would say a backdoor entry to sneak into In.com.

Goto In.com and enter
username: test
password: test.

If that doesn't work, you can try visiting in.com/temp/login.php and enter the username "test" and password "test". Bingo!! You can now test In.com without worrying about giving your email address or without waiting to get the invitation code. 

Looks like they read my post and disabled the test account. :-) Sorry guys, no more free in.com ride. wait for your invitation code.

Looks like in the excitement of the release, technical team forgot to disable the test account. I got some screenshots for the In.com which you can see below.

In.com provides news in a digg format. Users can vote for the news. Similarly if you visit videos, it also has rating features where users can rate the video and can promote or demote the video. You can search for products, bride or groom or flights or hotels. For flights and hotel I found that In.com is using iframes? Is it still pointing to Yatra.com?

You can also listen to music, create playlists, browse categories etc. I wasn't able to check the emails but based on the screenshots by Nikhil, it looked lame anyways.
