Also there are services out there that provides you an interface to sync your mobile devices online such as Synchronizing your mobile. So what microsoft has comeup with?? Something that combines all of the above. Yes, mobile sync, web desktop and online storage
Microsoft has launched Live Mesh, “software-plus-services” platform and experience that enables PCs and other devices to “come alive” by making them aware of each other through the Internet, enabling individuals and organizations to manage, access, and share their files and applications seamlessly on the Web and across their world of devices.
Below are couple of screenshots that I capture during my initial review. As soon as you log in, you will be give an option either go to online desktop, your mobile device, your PC or your mac. Mobile and Mac feature is not available yet but you can install a small application for your PC (XP or Vista) to sync it online.

The interface for online desktop is pretty slick and is vista like. YOu would feel like you are using Windows Vista online. You can create folders, check the logs for user activity as well as can upload media (video, images etc). Once you upload your stuff to online desktop, you can view them online. You have to download silverlight to view those media.
The Live Mesh page keeps showing you updates about your devices on the page. If you are inactive for 10 minutes, it will alert you for the inactivity.
Live Mesh currently gives 5GB online storage space which is the higest among all the other free online storage providers. If microsoft execute this well, they can definitely capture this market.
Live Mesh is still in closed beta and is invitation only preview. If you want to take a look at the preview, you can request one at Mesh.com
