Yahoo India FareChase links them directly to the travel providers' websites to complete their purchases. It searches travel websites and displays all the prices and availability in one place.
Yahoo FareChase which is in.farechase.yahoo.com is pretty popular for US. Now Yahoo has launched its Indian version. So looks like local players such as Zoomtra, ClearTrip etc would have a stiff competition for Indian travel search engine market.
Yahoo FareChase has also launched its tools for Yahoo Instant messenger as well as a widget that you can place on your websites. Here is the screenshot that I captured from one of my search for the flight. The interface looks pretty neat. It also shows you your recent searches on the right pannel for the quick access. You can refine your search based on the airline, departure times and number of stops.
