Minister of State for Communication & IT inaugrated the launch of a Web Portal on disability and ‘SAFA’, a screen reader software for visually impaired.
The site provides resources and information on disability in the form of documentaries, promotional movie clips, publications, institutions publishing books on disability.
It also provides information on assistive devices such as Braille Embosser, BigShot Screen Magnifier etc. The site also provides career related resources for disabled people.
It also locates NGOs etc on the Google Maps. Its a nice effort.
