Here are two government website launches. Looks like government has speed up the process of digitizing their existing content and has started launching websites under "right of information".

The Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, launched his Web site to enhance transparency in the administration and disseminate information on his public speeches in India and abroad. The website will host content relating to his profile, achievements, public speeches, press statements and participation in parliament debates.

You can not expect an interactivity in the website though. You can't expect replies from Finance Minister to your questions or queries. So what's the point? Anyways..

Another government website launch was in Haryana. The Haryana government has launched the first industry portal in India, in association with Microsoft India Pvt. Ltd. the portal lists and is linked to all the acts, policies, rules, forms, etc. required by a potential investor. The portal can also be of help to budding entrepreneurs by providing them the roadmap for setting up a business using the Business Planner; as well as linking him or her to all stakeholders and building a bridge to the providers of raw material, human resources, funds, etc. (via:ITNewsOnline

Looks like the industry portal is planning to host Wikis, blogs etc which is not active yet.
