K Raheja Corp Group company HyperCITY Retail India on Saturday its first HyperCITY Argos, a catalogue shopping retail format in Thane. Catalogue shopping is famous in western coutries for years. HyperCity is planning to launch about half-a-dozen pilot stores in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai and based on the success, planning to open stores in other cities as well.
So now if you want to shop at HyperCity, there are three ways to do it. Place your orders over the phone, visit the stores or you can logon to HyperCity website. The phone number is (022) 67733776 for Mumbai consumers. A catalogue can be bought at a HyperCITY Argos store for Rs 50. Buying a catalogue is rediculous. Why would I pay for the shopping catalogue? If they want to sell their products they suppose to send those catalogues for free to the customers.

Another thing that confused me was that I found out couple of websites for HyperCity. There is HyperCityIndia.com and HyperCityArgos.com. I found catalogues on HyperCityIndia.com. The site is currently carrying Christmas Catalog.

HyperCityArgos.com is the site where you can see all the products by HyperCity right on the website. You can see the prices as well as the special offers from HyperCity. Once you decide the items that you want to shop, you can add them into the list and can take a printout of your list. Just show this printout to the register at any HyperCity store or place an order over the phone.

Products can either be bought in store or delivered at home. HyperCITY Argos will also offer services such as home delivery, personal product finance, gift vouchers and a call centre to address customer queries (via: Rediff.com

Updates: Just got an email from Mr. Ulrica D'sylva, Sr. Associate Director @ IPAN about the miscommunication. Though I have not mentioned about Catalogue Shopping at HyperCity in Malad, he wanted to clarify that Catalogue shopping is available at the newly launched 'Hypercity Argos' in Thane and NOT at the original Hypercity in Malad.

    I understand the Rs50 charge for the catalogue is fully redeemable against your first purchase. Quite clever actually as the scrap value of 300 odd pages of glossy paper is a little less than that and will discourage the scrap paper merchants
