Now wait a minute, isn't it similar to Google Docs? Don't we already know few other applications like this already? Probably Zoho? Nope its not similar to what we have seen so far. This product makes your current Microsoft Office documents online and keep it in sync all time. You download Live Documents desktop client. You can click on the "Share this document" button on the Live Documents toolbar within Word, Excel or PowerPoint and a web version is automatically created for you. Then you can login to your personal Live Documents account and locate the document that you just shared, and add contacts that you want to share this document with. If other users have shared documents with you, they will show up automatically here without requiring them to email it to you.
Live Documents gives you unprecedented control over your documents by allowing you to specify who can access your documents and what each person can do with it - you can revoke or modify permissions at any point of time and all such changes are propagated immediately. You can specify granular permssions to each user that you wish to share a document with - you can specify if a user can view, edit, copy or print a document. You can also set expiry dates after which a user cannot access a document. You can also choose to restrict users to a single computer (by specifying a "no-roaming" clause) and disallow offline access on their desktops.
The question is how accurate it can be? Would it convert all the existing office documents into Live Documents? What if the office documents has complex macros? Would it still convert those macros?
