TruVeo, a video search service which was founded in 2004 now comes to India with Indian Flavor. The video search company was acquired by AOL back in 2006 and now it is a wholly owned subsidiary of AOL. LLC. So When AOL came to India early this year, services that are being offered by AOL are bound to come to India.
Couple of things that I like about TruVeo is Tag based search. The page lists the popular tags at the bottom on the front page. So you know what keyword is hot and what not. What people are looking for. I was surprised when I saw that Nach Baliye 3 is one of the famous tag. Few other tags that made to the front page are "Amul STAR Voice Of India", "Star Vijay" and "Star plus". Below is the screenshot of the search "Sania Mirza" (I know she is famous).

You can also subscribe to its RSS feeds for most popular videos today for different categories like comedy, music, home videos etc. According to Nikhil @ ContentSutra, TruVeo India is indexing vidoes from Dekhona.com which shows pornographic videos. Well why doesn't it surprise me? If you look at the Google Trends for the word "S E X", you will see India is ranking in top 5. And if you try the word N U D E in Google Trends, India is Number 1. So I am sure TruVeo will just satisfying the need for Indian Video watchers.
