Apple is planning to include retina display and many other features in its design of iPad3 whenever it is launched. You are also likely to see a resolution on the screen of up to 2048x1536 pixels for a sharp 326 dpi (dots or pixels per inch) to give a dense screen feel.

Wall Street journalists are estimating that the iPad3 may hit the market sometimes early next year. Some people are thinking that it may release before the end of this year.

Meanwhile, iPad2 is bringing in good returns. The iPad3, because of some very heavy competition, will have to become more than just thinner, faster, lighter and equipped with a better screen.

Apple is going to use plastic and glass to make the new iPad3 graceful and smooth. It will also give a lighter and thinner look. Apple was also thinking in terms of a similar thing to the plastic and rubberized feel of the Motorola Zoom.

There have been complaints that the iPad2’s glossy screen reflects too much light and therefore it is not entirely effective when you take it outside. Apple is now planning to have a glare proof screen to compete with Amazon’s Kindle which is the leading e-Book reader in the market. Apple is thinking in terms of two choices – a glossy screen and an anti-glare screen to be offered to the customers for them to decide what they want to use.

The iPad2 provides very impressive graphics performance in the games module and iPad3 is going to use a faster processor and the pad may shake and vibrate in response to the games being played on the screen. The pad may absorb haptic feedback

Apple is going to add another layer of biometric security like the retina display or the iris scanning and it is being planned in such a way that no one can use a dead man’s eye to break into an iPad. The software is being developed to detect sign of life in the iris layers. Apple’s iOS5 is going to allow the iPad users to do away with the cord and sync the songs wirelessly.
