Yatra.com, the leading online travel service company today has unveiled its mobile service. The company has launched its wap portal today to provide its customers a feature to book flight tickets/cars/hotels through their mobile phones.

The campaign is called "Yatra On the Go".  Though they have provided an option to book cars/hotels/buses right now, currently only the flight booking is working. Rest of the features are "Coming Soon"

The mobile site for Yatra On The Go is wap.yatra.com. Once you point your mobile browser to the above address, you will see four options to choose from. Flights, Hotels, Cars and Buses.

If you click Hotels, Cars or Buses you will get a message "Coming Soon". So probably the company is working on these features. But flight booking feature is working pretty good.

Once you choose "Flights" option, it asks you to select either you want Round Trip or One way ticket and then To and From cities as well as the dates. The site gives list of available flights with an option to sort it based on price, time or duration. You select your two flights, fill out passenger details, choose payment mode, fill out payment information and your PNR will be generated and you will get confirmation. The payment is made using a 128 bit secure gateway.

The site also provides an option to to download their application on your mobile phone instead of going to their WAP portal. The application is supported by list of devices including Nokia N series.

I think this is really a neat and user friendly application. I was able to use it without any problem and it works like a charm.
