Thatavarti Technologies, a Hyderabad based software testing company who also owns jobs4testing.com (A site for testing jobs) has launched its social networking portal for winning Gold. The site is called WinGold9.com
The site launch was announced two days ago and the site is currently down (the time I am writing this article). How strange is that? Even their earlier launch jobs4testing.com is also down right now.
The goal for this gold winning social networking site is to cash in people's obsession about gold. According to the site, any user can register for free and answer 9 simple questions to win 1 gram of Gold. Site also gives a free gift (such as silver coin, peart set) to every registered users.
Once registered, user can invite people and build his group on the net. Once a group members win gold, the group leader (the person who created a group) also wins gold coin. Am I having an illusion of AmWay style multi-level marketing here in web 2.0 ?
