Ever since I lost my Palm Pre (I hate you HP for killing webOS), all the android phones look same to me. I am not impressed by iPhone(s) at all and hate the fact that I HAVE to use iTunes to transfer my stuff to iPhone.
When microsoft announced the Windows Phone 7, I wasn't quite impressed by it but looks like the OS has matured into Windows Phone 8 and with Nokia & Microsoft's tie-up, we are seeing some amazing and robust devices like Nokia Lumia series. Just today, Nokia has launched its latest flagship phone Nokia Lumia 920 powered by Microsoft's Windows Phone 8. This is the second Windows Phone 8 after Samsung's ATIV S
What is so cool about Nokia Lumia 920?
Well there are some amazingly great features that will make you drool to buy one of these devices. So below are some highlights
Super Sensitive Glove Touch Screen
Yes, forget those touch screen gloves for winter weather because Nokia Lumia 920 has a super sensitive touch screen that can actually work regardless of temperature and hand coverings. Lumia 920 has two different touch modes that smartly switch automatically for hands without gloves or with gloves (or anything else for that matter)
Wireless Charging
Yes, the Palm Pre style wireless charging is coming back to this Nokia Lumia phone. The devices will come equipped with wireless charging pad so just put your phone and its charging.
PureView 8-Megapixel Dream Camera
This is where Nokia has put lot of research & development. Nokia's PureView technology can take better photos and video than any other smartphone on the market. The phone captures 5 to 10 times the amount of light of other phones, even without the flash. The Lumia 920's camera also features floating lens technology which helps capture video smoothly. (This definitely eliminates the need to keep those dumb "Android Powered Digital Cameras).
Augmented Reality Offline
In addition to the 8mp rear-facing camera, the Lumia 920 also includes a 1.2-megapixel front camera utilizes by an app called City Lens, which incorporates augmented reality to give users the names of restaurants, stores and other nearby locations on a smartphone's display. This feature is available on and offline!
