Your Income Tax Refund Status Online

Tax Information Network (TIN) is a repository of nationwide tax related information. It has been established by National Securities Depository Limited on behalf of Income Tax Department of India (ITD). As part of India's digitization efforts, TIN has put up a webpage where you can check your income tax refund status online.

This refund banker pilot scheme is operational for taxpayers assessed in Delhi in salary charges i.e. CIT XIV, XV,XVI and one business charge i.e. CIT IX. It is also operational in Patna for CIT I, II and Central. From September 30, 2007 the pilot has been extended in few other stations i.e. Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai (except for company and exemption refunds). 

Taxpayers will get status of refund 10 days after the refund has been sent by their Assessing Officer for refund banker. Status will be available only for those taxpayers whose refunds are to go through refund banker pilot scheme.

    I received a cheque No-109905 dated 19Nov 10 for year 2009-10 as income taxe refund order and same retured to the issuing bank SBI,cash management centre Mumbai due to expiry of validity date. You are requested to do needfull for -Fresh issue of income taxe refund order.

    I received a cheque No-109905 dated 19 Nov 10 as income tax refund order for assessment year 2009-10 but same returned to the issuing bank-SBI, cash management product centre 31Mahal industral estate,Mumbai on 07 Mar 11due to expiry of validity date and I received acknowlegement.You are requested to do needfull for issue of fresh income tax Refund order.PAN -AYNPS9634B.
