The AGS Infotech – Wincor Nixdorf biometric ATM has been installed by Dena Bank at Balwa village near Gandhinagar on Monday. This initiative will cater to the banking needs of rural India and will accelerate the ongoing efforts to facilitate Financial Inclusion.

The biometric ATM replaces personal identity number (PIN) with thumb impression.
The Fingerprint Scanner fitted in the machine that only recognizes the customer’s thumb impression will prove a major relief to people in rural areas.
The Kisan ATM is designed for Rural Kisan and incorporates Video & Voice Animation system coupled with single-touch application that will make things not only easier but also safer for the Kisans who will no longer have to depend on others for withdrawing money from ATMs.
After the inauguration of the first ATM at Balwa on Monday by Mr. Vajubhai Vala, State Finance Minister, Gujarat, the bank has received more than 1000 ATM card applications from the Kisans.
