Everyone knows that the biggest problem now a days on computers are spyware. If you are connected to the internet, you are bound to get spywere unless you secure your computer. Most of the Geeks who eat and sleep with computers know how to fix spyware but what about simple people like my grandmother who only knows how to use a computer.
 
Well now you can get your "Geek" friend or grandchildren or some tech savy person to help you remove those spyware and secure your computer. How? Well there is this website called CrossLoop.com, a site which helps you share your computer with anyone in the world. When I say "Share your computer", I meant share your computer screen, basically remote desktoping. 

 

 

 

CrossLoop is a FREE secure screen sharing utility designed for people of all technical skill levels. CrossLoop extends the boundaries of VNC’s traditional screen sharing by enabling non-technical users to get connected from anywhere on the Internet in seconds without changing any firewall or router settings. It only takes a few minutes to setup and no signup is required. 

 

The simplicity of CrossLoop is the key point. Its so easy to invite someone to help you or help someone.

How do you invite someone to help you?
1) Direct them to www.crossloop.com and ask them to install this CrossLoop software. Once installed,
2) Have your contact click on the 'Join' tab
3) Share your Access Code from the "Host" tab and ask him/her to enter it in the space provided
4) Now both of you click on the "Connect" button 

 

 

The sofware is also secure. Session data is encrypted at the end-points before being sent using a 128-bit encryption algorithm using a randomly-generated 12-digit access code. Explicit permission is required before any screen images are sent to a remote computer.

 

I have used quite a few remote desktop software but this one seems the simplest one so far. No configuration nothing. Just enter the code and start sharing. Way to go. Oh and did I tell you that its FREE? :-) So check out CrossLoop.com

    Security is by far the most important issue in computing in this age. Many of the remote desktop software out there is not secure. It took me awhile to find one that was. I now use Proxy Networks for remote desktop software (links to their site). It is used by the US secret service, and hence I trust it for my business use.
