If you are a die-hard fan of smartphones like I am, you might know what it means to sync your phone. I mean comeon, you have your contacts, emails, photos, ringtones, internet favourites etc in your phone and you have to be in sync constantly. To do that, you have to get a cable and connect your phone to your computer and sometimes if you forget your cable, you are gone, you can't sync your phone. Wouldn't it be cool if some service can constantly sync your phone without you connecting your phone to some computer?

Well there is one service, a website called DashWire.com which enables you to do the same exact thing what we are dreaming of. Dashwire is a privately held company headquartered in Seattle, Washington, USA. The company is backed by investors and strategic advisors who have helped build the wireless and technology industries at McCaw Cellular, Nextel, China Unicom, Western Wireless, and Microsoft.

Dashwire Mobile is a super small application that is installed on your mobile phone to allow you to use the Dashwire service. It sends updates from your phone (text messages, call history, photos, videos, etc.) to Dashwire servers, which are then mirrored on the Web when you log in to your personal Dashwire account.

The site lets you send and receive text messages from your computer without picking up your phone. You can automatically upload photos, videos captured on your phone and share it with your friends. You can easily update your contacts, set your internet favourites, ringtones, wallpapers, speed dials etc. And guess what? One might think "I know.. I know but how much do I pay?" Well its FREE. You know I always give you inforamation about FREE stuff here. ;-). So the service is totally FREE. You can Sync your phone wirelessly online for FREE.

It does have some limitations though. Dashwire is initially available for Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6 such as Palm Treo 500v, and the Motorola Q series. Over 100 phones are supported. Additional phone platforms will be supported in the near future.
