Apple is currently obsessed working on the screen and the display technology of iPhone 5 which is expected to come out in the market by October. iPhone 5 will have a taller screen. This alone, many feel, will redefine Appleās iconic phone.
Retina screens are what buyers of the iPhone and iPad are inclining on these days more than any other single hardware. This phone will feature in-cell touch screen display technology which will use an in-cell layer combining the touch layer and the liquid crystal display into a single component. The biggest advantage of this new technology is that it will lower the thickness of the screen. The iPhone 5 is likely to have a larger four-inch display with 16:9 aspect ratio.
The phone will be thinner than the 4S. The taller screen will have a resolution of 640x1136. The resolution of 4S is 640x960. The 16:9 videos can play on the full screen at their native aspect ratio. The display will have a build of iOS 6. The home screen will have five rows of icons and there will be an interface to offer more content viewing.
The phone will also support NFC (Near Field Communication) and wireless charging. The technology of a docking station with inductive charging could debut with the iPhone 5. There is a possibility that the iPhone 5 may have a liquid metal casing which will make it thinner and lighter so that more hardware can be packed inside without the phone getting heavier for mobility. The new display in-cell technology is lighter and thinner than the retina display models.
