GameDock will turn the iPhone into a retro video gaming console for all home game players. GameDock is a new accessory for iPhone and iPad that changes your mobile phones or your tablets into retro game consoles with controller support for two players and a video output for playing games on a big screen. The controller looks like the earlier Nintendo Gamepad and has a single directional pad and two play buttons in its layout.
Old school gaming will be back to iOS. Gaming may now become a dual controller pleasure linked to your television sets. GameDock can be appreciated by those kinds of people who used to like the pixels of the games in the nineteen eighties. However, it may be difficult to play classic games on the limited iOS screen. iOS had previously used a retro game controller in the form of iCade. The GameDock may go a few steps further of iCade by adding a video output and bringing back the traditional home console experience.
GameDock has been made to support all titles that work with iCade and run them on any iPhones, iPads or iPods that use iOS 4 or later upgrades. The GameDock accessory has two USB sockets that connect to a pair of controllers with the Nintendo style.
The makers of GameDock have successfully tested and completed prototypes and are looking forward to raising funds for a production run. They are also in the process of planning another iOS application that will assist players in locating supported games.
