After upgrading your profile to Timeline, you will have seven days to review everything that appears on your Timeline before anyone else can see it. The users can choose to publish their Timelines at any time during the review period but after seven days, the Timeline will go live automatically. Timeline will actually replace a user’s old profile but the stories and the photos will be retained. Timeline also features a new tool called `Activity Log’ where users can review their posts and other activities. The users can set and customize the privacy levels of their Timeline just like they could adjust the settings in their Facebook profile. Timeline was announced by Facebook at the F8 Conference earlier in the month of September. Here are some tips describing how to make the best use of the new features. Activity Log – You can review all your stuff that you have posted on the site like photos or status updates. Only the user can see the Activity Log and can decide what stuff to show or hide on the Timeline. Cover Photo – The first thing you can do when you open Timeline is to upload a large cover photo. It is the first thing people will see when they get to a user’s page. Highlighting Special Moments - Facebook users can highlight them on their Timeline by clicking on the star to make them extra big. Control Privacy – You can change the privacy of anything on the Timeline by clicking on the dropdown next to any post. Members can choose their audience.
