When they wanted to go back to their old mail, Yahoo did not show them the option. A lot of people were stuck.
There is a solution!
It is not too complicated and technical but you have to be a bit careful. The solution comes from the fact that the new Yahoo Mail is designed for screens with a resolution of at least 1024x600 pixels. If there is anything lower than that, you will get a notification that the new Yahoo Mail will not work properly. This is what you have to do.
-
Log out of Yahoo Mail and close your browser to be on the safe side.
-
Change your desktop resolution to 800x600 pixels. It will depend on the operating system you are using. If it is Windows XP, you have to right click the Desktop and choose Properties; In Display Properties, click on Settings and set the screen resolution. In Windows Vista and Windows 7, right click on the Desktop and pick Screen Resolution and set the Screen Resolution. In Mac OS, choose System Preferences from the Apple Menu; go to the Hardware Section and click on Display. In the Display Tab, set the screen resolution. In Linux, the method varies a lot but there should be a Display or similarly named tool in your system settings.
-
Open your browser and go to Yahoo Mail. When you log in, you will be notified that the screen resolution is too low.
-
Go to the bottom of the page and you will notice a link that will be called “Return to previous version of Yahoo Mail”. Click on it and you will be returned to Yahoo mail Classic.
-
Change the screen resolution back to the original.
