So the CM team (CyanogenMod Team) today released the Alpha version of Android 2.3 for HP Touchpad.
Alpha version is basically a early test version. Alpha versions may experience issues ranging from the benign to the very serious, including potential data leakage, and/or permanent loss of data, and even the possible "bricking" or permanent disabling of your device.
If you are brave enough to try it out, you can head to RootzWiki and read the instructions on how to install Android 2.3 on HP Touchpad. This Alpha version lets you watch Netflix on HP Touchpad, pair your bluetooth speakers to your HP Touchpad or play Android Games on HP Touchpad. Its really a functional version of Android 2.3 running on HP Touchpad but may have not been tested to the mark.
Installing this Android 2.3 on HP Touchpad may void your warranty but then again, do we really know if HP is planning to support this product forever? Check out the video below -- Android 2.3 running on HP Touchpad
