Google+ has played well as far as its moves are concerned in the social network gaming arena. People are already weighing the advantages of using Google+ in comparison with Facebook. Here are eight main reasons:
- In many cases, Facebook is having an issue about displaying comments on the posts. There have been complaints that people had to wait many hours before a comment is displayed. Such delays are not taking place with Google+.
- People, while using the new chat bar on Facebook, have had problems when they are clicking their way in; as on each page refresh, they are being asked to click on the button again that allows people to use the feature. This is putting people off.
- Facebook is also having privacy issues. It is changing privacy settings on its users or getting rid of some settings.
- To install the video chat, you have to download and run EXE file on Facebook. It makes the process difficult when you are being asked to install a program on your computer. With Google+, you have to install a plug-in but it does not take that much time like an actual program.
- People go on Facebook mostly to interact with their friends and post status updates. There are no features on Facebook that allow you to be productive. You can follow a business or a famous celebrity but it seldom shows up in your stream. With Google+, you can follow and read what the business or the celebrity is posting.
- People do not think in terms of holding a meeting on Facebook and do not post memos. With Google+, you could have a circle of employees and hold small meetings with them. Google+ is making it easy for business interface.
- Facebook does not care what your opinion is about its social networking policies. If you hate their privacy policy or give suggestions for a new feature, it will fall on deaf ears. In less than two months, Google+ has already made about half a dozen changes based on user feedback.
- Facebook allows you to communicate with people you already know. The new list is also thrown at you featuring common acquaintances of the people you know. Google+ allows sharing of posts where the users are more visible even when they like your post so that you can pick up and shortlist people you would like to make friends with outside the circumference of your known list.
