Mac OS X 10.7 Lion is the new version of the desktop operating system from Apple.  Apple is out to launch this new version of OS along with the new version MacBook Air. It is reported from the reliable sources inside Apple that the two products may be available from Wednesday in the Apple Stores.

 

The MacBook Air will be having 4 GB RAM and 128 GB SSD according to the reliable information about the new product. It will also have a back lit key board. The device will be powered by Lion Operating System.

MacBook Air will run on Intel’s Sandy Bridge CPU and it is also supported by super fast data transfer port- Thunderbolt. Since Air is designed to bridge the functional gap between Mac OS X and iOS, it is best device to connect the spheres of desktop and mobile applications.

There is a report from MacRumors that all the Apple Store retails are provided with golden master copies of Mac OS Lion for the purpose of installing them in the store floors for demonstrations. This is the indication that Apple is making its final preparations for the launch and launch may be announced any moment.

It is to be noted that already Apple had made the announcement of the imminent release of the new version of the Lion in July this month, though no date was announced at this year’s WWDC. Apple has decided to distribute them only through their Mac App store instead of the physical store.
