Recent news reported in the horizon of social media and networking, is quite interesting! A company based in Israel has come up with a new idea that can bring about a major transition in social networking trend. The recently introduced networking site Google+ and the largest networking site, Facebook are linked through an application developed by the Israeli company. The users of Google+ are permitted to have a glance at their streams from Facebook. Rightly this application has been named as “Google+Facebook”. Crossrider, the Israeli company which developed is mainly involved in the development of Internet browser add-on extensions. The new app has clocked downloads of more than 100,000 already as informed by Koby Menachemi who is the Chief executive of Crossrider.

 

The functionality of this quickly developed product can be appreciated from the fact that users can view the streams of Facebook and at the same time update the status on Google Plus. Google + is the new attempt by Google after its initial efforts failed to offer a successful social media networking rivaling Facebook. But Google + has already more than 10 million users and will take on the Facebook which is a social media giant with more than 750 million users.

The application is freely downloadable and it adds an icon to Google Plus, and the users are able to view Facebook pages. Menachemi is pleased with the popularity the Google+ Facebook has picked up without any PR. He believes that the new application will showcase the strengths of Crossrider in developing new features for browsers.
