One more Android is about to be launched in Indian market; this time it is from renowned electronic device manufacturers- LG. The model christened Optimus Pro is the first touch screen mobile with Android OS released by LG. It is slated to be released in August 2011. The LG spokesperson who gave the detail of the launch refuted the reports that suggested that Optimus Pro is the replacement of LG Optimus One.

 

Optimus Pro has both the touch screen and keyboard type dual input mobile device with Android Gingerboard. It has 2.8 inch wide capacitive touch screen and complete QWERTY keyboard and scores of other useful features. It has WiFi, Bluetooth version 3.0 connectivity along with HSPA+ to HSPA (High speed Packet Access technology) connectivity also.

Optimus Pro is powered by a 800 MHz processor that may be felt as somewhat inadequate for the features present on the device, and it has dedicated graphic processor of Qualcomm MSM 7227 system on the chip. This provides enough power to manage the routine requirements of the users.

It is expected that LG is offering the device with the floor price of Rs 13,000. The price is certainly attractive to many users and is affordable.  LG spokesperson indicated that along with the launch of Optimus Pro, the company is planning few more launches in the country. LG is also planning to launch Optimus 3D but it is not clear whether this model is launched along with Optimus Pro when it is launched in August.
