Largest automobile manufacturing company – Suzuki is planning to launch its new Swift car in the next month. This new Swift is more fuel efficient as compare to Swift present in the market. This car is equipped with two type of engine; one is 1.3-litre diesel and 1.2 petrol engines.

In new model there is more room than present model. The new model swift has comparatively less weight; this is done by the replacement of metallic fuel tank with the plastic made fuel tank. Plastic fuel tank has many other advantages like this tank is free from corrosion, more durable, recyclable and very little danger to be explosive. Besides all these things it also helps to provide over 13 percent fuel efficiency. With petrol it gives nearly 20 km mileage as compare to the average mileage 17.9 km set by the Automotive Research Association of India. The similar situation is observed when we see the mileage with diesel. This new Suzuki Swift gives 23.8 km mileage against average 21 km set by Automotive Research Association of India.

Company is also working on to reduce more weight of Swift by other means. In new model we might see automatic four-speed transmission.

The price of new Suzuki Swift is not disclosed by the company. This car will be available in three version of fuel i.e. petrol, diesel and CNG. Price will be around 3.9-5.5 lac, and there will be not more than 12,000 cars per months.

According to some reports it is also suspected that in early 2012 Maruti will launch cheaper model of Swift named Swift Dzire.
