Many people take the survey only to find out that it was nothing but since they have taken the survey they have already unwittingly helped the spammer’s cause. The worst thing is that if one provides their phone number then it can lead them to become a part of expensive premium rate service. In this scenario you should immediately contact your service provider and get the scheme cancel before it has leeched you too much.
The IT firm looking into this is also admitting that this is one biggest problem that they are facing in these times as it affects millions of users and they are trying to urge facebook to stop such illegitimate and nonsense events as it is very easy for spammers to generate income like this.
