Although having been downloaded more that 10 million times, consumers don’t seem to be suffering from an overload of Angry Birds. Rovio, the game maker confirmed this on Twitter. The update to be released on 24th April this year, promised by Rovio is named Angry Birds Seasons for Easter.The debut of the game was made on the 22nd of March.
The partnership between Rovio and Twentieth Century Fox has led to a version that ties the game with Fox’s latest film “Rio”, which is to be run in theaters from the 15th of April. The game, compromising of 60 levels is hoped to be updated with more in the future.
Angry Birds Rio, which was launched specifically for Android and iOS was available for Android phones initially only on the ‘Android App Store’, newly launched by Amazon. But now for just 99 cents anybody could download it through the Apple App Store, also free downloads are available through Getjar and the Android Market.
Free wallpaper downloads are also available for players with iPads and iPhones. Rovio,s blog offers downloads available in display resolutions of 1024X768, 960X640 and 480X320.
The game’s holiday theme version, Angry Birds Seasons, is meanwhile to get an update for Easter. Players must be ready to expect anything, even bunnies hiding under eggs only to find out that they are only pigs dressed as bunnies. After making its debut for Halloween last year, has updated it versions since for St. Patrick’s day, Valentine’s day and Christmas. The Easter version update of Angry Birds comes free to all the players who have already purchased the Angry Birds Seasons. For 99 cents, it is available on the App Store and free from Android.
Angry Birds is also to be included in the update of Nooks software in the future, stated Barns & Noble last month.
$42 million in funding has also been recently secured by Rovio.
