Last month only Apple had successfully occupied close to 60 percent of the global touch panel capacity. In last few months, Touch panels were undergone a serious kind of shortage, which can further hurt the adequate supply for Apple's competitors since the lack of components meant shipment volumes were unable to make up with required orders, especially for second-tier players.
Presently Apple is holding massive control over the capacity of major touch panel makers such as Wintek and TPK.
