Few things have been specially taken care while proposing new draft policies, under these intermediaries will notify users of their services not to use, display, upload, publish, share or store a variety of content. Recent remark on Internet Censorships especially on Bloggers opened new trending discussion forum for everyone. India has vast pool of Internet bloggers esp. paid & regular ones.
Content that is prohibited under these guidelines ranges from information that may "harm minors in any way" to content that is "harmful, threatening, abusive." Some of the terms are so vague that to stay on the right side of the law, intermediaries may in effect remove third-party content that is even mildly controversial, said Pavan Duggal, a cyberlaw consultant and advocate in India's Supreme Court. The new drafted rules are framed under the Government of India’s Information Technology Act of 2008. Possibly the amendment will be annexure, current intermediary is not be liable to third party information. Of Course, new rule will impose new law which is subjected to further interpreted & manipulated. It will become hard for interpretations under new judicial claims. According to the draft rules, a mediator has to notify users that in case of non-compliance of its terms of use of the services and privacy policy, it has the right to straight away terminate the access rights of the users to its site. If there is any infringing content, either on its own or through the authorities, the intermediary has to work with the user or owner of the information to confiscate access to the information.
New drafted rules have so many compliances; hopefully govt will sort out them first. Since comments are yet to receive from companies. Today's blogging rules seem more vagues, as there is no effectiveness on such exercises. Most of the bloggers are earning because of Advertisers not due to CONTENTS. Its good that Govt framing new easier law on censorship, no idea about it's immediate effect? Still doubtful. Anyways, Govt can't control the content but keep beep on Internet Providers?
