In spite of his poor health, Job was attending the opening ceremony & launched second generation iPad 2. iPad 2 is going to be more thinner, faster, reliable than previous one.
While Speaking to Media & Tech Journalists:
Jobs said we were mystified by the success of iPad and could only try to follow what has come to be "best-selling gadget ever". "Many have said this is the most flourishing & competent consumer product ever launched in the market. Over 90% market shares... our competitors were flummoxed," Jobs puzzled. He concluded Apple’s growth with over $2 billion to developers in total & earned about $2 billion from selling their apps on the App Store. (Courtesy: News Agencies)
iPad 2 will be shipped by 26th March & available in US market from 11th March, according to Apple. Currently, India is not in the list first 21 countries where iPad will be shipped first.
Highlights
- Updated A5 CPU for Apple’s iPad 2. It will help to boost the processor’s speed, whereas power consumption will be same & more battery life.
- Same Pricing as last iPad version, about $ 500.
- 9.7 inch screen size & same ultra resolution. It is nearly 33% thinner at 8.8mm. Somewhat it looks like large iPod Touch. New weight is about 1.3 pounds.
- On Contrast to Smartphone industry, iPad 2 is also going to have BIG Screen that can show HDTV videos & also support HDMI.
- iOS 4.3 is also introduced in iPad 2 and Java Script engine (NITRO) among the newly enhanced browser.
- VGA Sensor to gear the Face Time conversations, although Apple also showed off a new Photo Booth app for iPad 2.
- Apple also introduced GarageBand feature first time in any of its gadgets.
Apple's iPad will be going to give tough fight to rivals especially Motorola Zoom & other upcoming Smartphones. With the launch of Honeycomb for Android based phones, Google already instigated the Tablet race. Apple's new iOS 4.3 has made it clear intentions in market to uveal the best in terms of applicability. Apple indicated nearly 65,000 apps for iPad from its online store, the crawling reason for everyone from a user to developer. In-built dual processor will also embark the new journey for Apple's iPad 2.
