We often use our cell phones to put an alarm in the morning and this application aims to better your cell phone alarm timings. This application is created by a scientist Jon Willis and is known as Electric Sleep. This application helps you to understand and improve your sleep timings.
A very less known fact is that people sleep in a sleep cycle. Sometime a person is in deep sleep and sometime in light sleep and if the alarm rings when you are in deep sleep it creates problems like feeling tired the whole day or headaches which basically gives a very bad start to your morning.
Electric sleep records your sleep pattern and analyses it for the best time to wake you up around the time you have set your alarm by sensing that you are in a light sleep cycle that time.
The application senses this by the accelerometer in your cell phone which analyses your body movement when you are sleep. The application is still in its testing stage that is in BETA stage but has been made available on the android market free of cost.
The only drawback of this application is that it can only run on those phones which have an accelerometer i.e. high end phones.
Don't forget to keep your Cell phone near you when you are sleeping so that the mobile can sense your body movement.
