At just 8.49 millimetres thick, the Galaxy SII is a super lightweight handset with a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, running the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with a 1GHz Orion processor. No date has been officially set for the new handset to hit stores in the UK, but Samsung confirmed an option will be available with 32GB of storage rather than the standard 16.
The cell boasts many new features seen first time in a cell phone like Gorilla Glass display, accelerometer, swipe text input, 3 axis Gyroscope. It also excludes Samsung touch wiz UI features with hub experiences like music, social and reader hub. But undoubtedly the most attractive feature of this cell is face recognition which makes this cell one of the first of its kind. Users face can be set as the unlock password!!!!
The galaxy has an 8MP autofocus main camera with a led flash supporting 1080 pHD and a 2MP front camera. The video recording capability of the SII is astounding with recordings of up to 30 frames per second. 16GB memory, 1650mAH to support the dual core processor, Full HD recording and playing, slim body made up of metal, Bluetooth 3.0 and dual core processor with the speed of 1GHz make it a very viable choice.
The other very interesting feature of this cell is that it can be connected with HDMI ready devices.
