HTC is currently working to create a new Android based tablet. It was reported in September 2010 that HTC is launching a tablet based Google Android 3.0 in 2011. This new tablet computer is rumoured to be named HTC Scribe and was trademarked with the official website of USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office). There is not yet much information available regarding this trademark

After the high commercial success of iPad launched by Apple, many electronics giant like Samsung, LG, ASUS, HP and Motorola have decided to join the race to create the new tablet computers.

From January 2010 it has been said that HTC is working on an operating system from Google for the tablet computer. It is also been confirmed by HTC that they really are working on it.

The trademark filed with USPTO says that it is a handheld wireless device; a tablet computer and filed under the name HTC Scribe. It is highly probable that HTC will reveal their tablet at CES 2011 which starts January 6 2011 or MWC 2011 starting in February2011.

Also it has been made clear by PocketNow that Android 3.0 is not Honeycomb. The site’s official server logs reveal the existence of Android 2.4 and it is more probable of renamed as Honeycomb instead of android 3.0 .But the codename is not important here. What’s important is when would the Android 2.4 update be released and what features and improvements it has over the recently released Android 2.3 Gingerbread update.
