Bigtree has recently been invested by the TV18 group and because of that, this news has been published as "TV18 group launches BookMyShow.com" in all the news paper instead of mentioning about BigTree.
The site covers around 25-27 cities which includes Mumbai, Delhi, Agra, Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Latur, Lucknow, Mangalore, Meerut, Noida, Nagpur, Nashik, Panipat, Pune, Surat and Vadodara.
Though the booking for Plays is "Coming Soon", the site has tied up with only few cinema halls. I was checking for movies in Ahmedabad and found out that they have listed only three theaters for Ahmedabad, Fun Cinemas and Adlabs theaters. Its probably because they are in Beta.
The site is using heavy AJAX functionality. Bookmyshow offers multiple delivery options such as Email confirmation, SMS confirmation or home delivery. Apart from providing tickets to all entertainment shows like movies, plays, concerts etc. in these cities, BookMyShow.com also offers loads of goodies and discounts and easy options for corporate booking.
