Yet another tablet was recently launched, proving 2010 to be really a year of the tablets. Asus recently announced its plans to unveil its range of android based Epads in India.
Asus’ announcement came a day following Samsung’s announcement to unveil the Galaxy Tab. An Asus company official revealed that the first EPad models will be released in India by January 2011. Although the final price is yet to be announced, but according to an estimate by the company, the EPads wil be priced between Rs.15,000 to 20,000 .
Although further details of the device were not divulged, yet the devices displayed in Computex 2010 were based on windows embedded Compact 7 and Windows 7. These EPads were respectively based on NVidia Tegra2 Chipset and Intel Moorestown.
The Apple iPad and the Samsung galaxy tab are yet to be launched in India. We have to wait and see whether Asus becomes able to register a share in the Indian market by arranging their release dates before Samsung and Apple.
