The Skype facility can now be availed by ten video callers at a time. Skype 5.0 Beta is currently available for download. The features of the new facility include a cleaner user interface and automatic call recovery.
Call quality is also set for an improvement, as a number of bug fixes have been undertaken. The 10-way video call facility allows even for larger family reunions and team meetings. Skype’s new offer was made soon after Gmail offered its new Voice calling functionality and the Gmail offer now looks feeble in comparison with Skype.
However, Skype warns that version 5.0 is beta, therefore very buggy and it is limited to Windows users.
