Tata Photon - Wi-Fi Pocket Router
Tata Teleservices Limited, the country’s fastest-growing dual-technology telecom service provider, today announced the launch of a revolutionary new access device - Tata Photon Wi-Fi Pocket Router,which enables multiple users and devices to share wireless Internet access and stay connected on the go. The Tata Photon Wi-Fi Router allows broadband Internet access speeds up to 3.1 Mbps (downlink) and 1.8 Mbps (uplink).

It has an in-built battery back-up up to 2.5 hours. It comes with a RJ45 Ethernet port for local area network (LAN) connection. This feature lets you plug the device into your PC and get started instantly.

“The innovative new product allows not just Internet and e-mail access, but caters to a host of other applications as well through any Wi-Fi-ready device, such as large file downloads, photographs, spreadsheets, and much more. Best of all, given its Wi-Fi capabilities, it allows multiple users to stay connected simultaneously,” Mr Lloyd Mathias, Chief Marketing Officer of Tata Teleservices Limited, said. “The TATA Photon Wi-Fi Pocket Router is slim and compact, making it convenient to carry even in one’s pocket. With this new product, TTSL has taken the concept of ‘Anytime, Anywhere’ to the next level,” he added.

The sleek new product is available in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Delhi at a lower introductory price of Rs 4,999, while the open market price is Rs 6,500. Let’s see, how much impact this slim and revolutionary device can have in today’s fast-evolving technology.

    Hi All,

    I bought the device recently, the speed i get on the device is really horrible, the customer care executive says the maximum speed on the device would be 500kbps, i wonder connecting 5 systems would even make sense such a horrible speed.

    Its a total waste of money, guys think before you invest your hard earned money on such a thing.
