At launch, LG Optimus Z should include over 100 of the most popular applications in Korea, in addition to a number of 70 apps that have not been included in the Android Market as of yet. More apps should be available for download via SK Telecom's and KT's application stores. This is the third LG Optimus Series device launched around the world, and should be followed by more handsets, the company announced.
Here’s a quick specs and features list for the LG Optimus Z:
- 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
- * Android OS 2.1 (Froyo coming by December)
- * 3.5-inch WVGA Hyper HD LCD
- * 80800 x 480 resolution
- * T-DMB mobile TV support
- * 5-megapixel camera
- * Dolby Mobile and DivX support
- * Two 1,350mAh batteries
- * New On Screen Phone function (displays phone interface on PC)
- * Bluetooth or USB syncing with PC
- * “100 of the most popular applications in Korea”
The most interesting thing however is the fact that LG is going to launch an LG tablet by the end of the year. The LG tablet will run Android, we’re really rooting for Android 2.2 (pun totally intended), and should be in stores just in time for Christmas. Of course LG will not say anything else about this product as they probably wanted to remind everyone that they too are designing a tablet as we speak, especially after seeing all the Motorola tablet and BlackPad tablet rumors out there these days.
