Twitter has launched tests on the new ‘You both follow feature’ which is planned to be introduced in the near future. The feature enables the users to see any common followers they share with other Twitter users.

According to Nick Kallen and the Twitter update issued by him the ‘You both follow feature ‘is tested on 10% of the Twitter users. The new feature resembles very much the feature of checking common friends.

For example if you are follower of Techtree on twitter, on their profile page you will be able to see the users that you and Techtree share on twitter. The list will be visible just above the so called following tab.

The feature is like the ‘common friends’ feature on Facebook. For Twitter this service is named friendorfollow.com. It shows the number of users you follow and the users that follow you.

It is obvious that twitter is planning to interconnect more Twitter users. There is still no confirmation released from the site when the feature will be available for the rest of the Twitter users.

Marcel Molina ,a Twitter API engineer, issued a Twitter update in which he stated that he had united with Nick Kallen with the aim of building ‘better prototypes’.

You must keep tweeting because no one knows when you will be lucky enough to test one of these prototypes.
