The latest edition of this type of phone is Q55 Bling. It has embedded diamond Swarovski all over its body and IIFA insignia on the back.
The special edition device is also packed with IIFA content and video from the previous IIFA editions.
The phone will be sold in Sri Lanka because micromax has teamed up with the Sri Lankan operator dialog. Users from Sri Lanka will also receive a dialog SIM with the handset. The phone will be available in India from 3rd of June with a cost of Rs 5500 which is almost the same price at which the ‘original’ Q55 is sold.
Taking into account its features the Q55 is peculiar looking handset. It is a phone with dual bands and has 262K color QVGA(320*240) display with 2.4 inches width. The phone has also QWERTY keyboard and 2 megapixel camera. There is also a social network support (Facebook as well as Opera mini).
The phone has Bluetooth and is EDGE/GPRS/WAP/MMS compatible. The internal memory is 10 MB although there is a slot for microSD cards. The Li-ion battery can provide talk time of up to 1-4 hours and standby time 180 hours.
