At Amazon’s shareholders’ meeting in Seattle, the CEO Jeff Bezos stated that a Kindle with a color reflective screen will not appear in the near future because it has not been ready for production. In February the Amazon have bought Touchco which developed flexible multitouch panels. That has produced the impression that the e-tailer was intending to the iPad-the Apple’s tablet device.
On Tuesday Bezos said that Kindle will and always be a reading device. On Saturday CNET e-mailed Amazon looking for a comment on the Bloomberg report. Bloomberg said that they have not received a call from an Amazon representative.
On Thursday Sonny announced the release of its Reader. It was launched in the US in 2006 and now the same was planned to be done in some other countries such as Japan, China and Australia.
