Back in February, Hutch launched the Mobile Radio, to offer radio on the go which gives their users the ability to control the music according to their taste. Hutch said that this was an attempt to create a new vertical value added service (VAS) vertical, in the telecom business. (Tech2) 

Airtel also introduced Airtel FM which allows its customers to turn their mobile handsets into radios. One can listen to the radio on the go with Rs 30/month subscription. Listening the radio is free but if you want to download something, that would cost Rs 10 per track. (The Hindu Business Line) 

Just few days back Tata Indicom launched their mobile internet radio which offers live streaming radio-casts in English, Hindi, Telegu, Tamil and other international languages with MP3 quality sound.  The new service is initially being made available on Motorazr V3C, Samsung Wideo and Motorola World Phone and carries a subscription charge of Rs25 for 15 days across all Tata Indicom circles, including those markets where FM services haven't commenced. And now, RCOM launched Mobile Radio Service to its phones. This would be available to both post-paid and pre-paid customers, Reliance Hello and post-paid reliance landline customers. To access this service customers will have to dial 51234777. This good thing about this service is that you dont have to have an FM enabled phone. Any cellphone can be used as a FM radio receiver. The service will be available in eight Indian languages including Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam..

The price to listen to this radio service is, Rs 1/minute with subscription of Rs 30/month OR Rs. 3/Minute without subscription. (DNA India)
