JustDial is India's chief and most user friendly local search engine is ready to set their foot on entering the US market with the same way as the business plan that it had implemented in India, which was a big success.
A recent report suggests that, Justdial is in the finishing stages of setting up its database and fine tuning, soon it will be ready for its users in US. It is just like a kind of Google 411 like service in U.S.
The main advantage of it with that of the Google 411 is the fact that Google's 411 works on robotic prerecorded IVR based responses while calls made to JustDial will be attended by real humans. In India, the JustDial service has reached a great success and the company has got 4,000 people working for them in the country.
The U.S. services will also be operated and handled by these 4,000 employees from India itself. Justdial also has plans to have a 1,000 member team in U.S. who would specialists in handling its U.S. based operations. Justdial works this way. All they have to do is to remember an easy number to which the user will call up with their queries. In other systems like Google 411, they have an ever boring welcome IVR response system to receive them. But, Justdial connects the user to a real person who is ready to answer queries instantly. Justdial had revenues of about $32 million and attended more than 72 million calls in 2009 and now estimating the call volumes to cross the 100 million mark this year.
The service has been funded by Sequoia, Tiger Venture and SAIF. All that is to be seen now is, if this JustDial service would result in a success or not when it reaches U.S.
