Texas Instruments DLP revealed a camcorder that uses the Pico projection technology .The camcorder was developed by Asia Optical , a leading digital camera manufacturer that supplies products for various major brands.

This is not the first company to feature DLP Pico technology, as it has already introduced in Samsung Show mobile phone. The device can project a 60 inches image in dark conditions.

The DLP chip contains a collection of 2 million microscopic mirrors to produce a projected image with minimal gap between the pixels. Texas Instruments DLP selected Asia Optical for their quality in products. Due to its superior image quality and energy efficiency the company expects a global market for the product.

The camcorder with projection module will hit the market by second half of this year.
