Google’s Chrome browser’s inches over Apple’s Safari for the first time, ever. Net Applications data showed the rise in the chrome Brower’s market, as it went passed the Apple’s Safari to reach the third position. The first two positions are occupied by Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Mozilla’s Firefox.

In the Current market share statistics, Internet Explorer continues to lead with 62.69% share, Firefox stands second with a 24.61%, while Chrome at 4.63%, which is ahead of Apple’s 4.46%.

However, the data clearly showed a decrease in the IE’s market share by 0.94% in the last six months. In the new browsers market, the IE’s performance is continuously decreasing. With the launch of IE 8, it became the most used browser from Microsoft. As per data collected, IE 8 conquered 37.8 % share in total Internet Explorer usage.
