"The Eureka Movement" by the IITians led to the invention of this ADAM. ADAM is nothing but a 'Touch Screen Tablet’ and a 'smart pad' which is small enough to be carried anywhere and big enough to do anything. It was invented by a group of six IITans and an MBA graduate in Hyderabad and Bangalore by the Notion Ink, Hyderabad.

ADAM weighs about 770 grams, 0.6 inches thick, and 10.1 inch scratch resistant touch screen. This smart pad uses the Pixel Qi Display. a Pixel Qi Display is a low cost power saving screen which can run in LCD mode , Transreflective mode and also in a sunlight readable e-paper mode. Indians are the first to use this Pixel Qi screens for Tablet technology.
It consists of Lithium-ion battery which gives 48 hours of standby, 16 hours of Internet over Wi-Fi. It uses the NVIDIA eight core Tegra system-on-chip. They have claimed 67 patents for this. It is planning to be manufactured in TPK Touch Solutions, Taiwan. It also possess water, light proximity sensors, accelerometers, GPS,digital compass, built-in speakers, microphone, on screen virtual keyboard, a track pad and a 3 Megapixel camera.
Price:
This fully loaded smart pad will be priced at RS.15,000 in the Indian, U.S. and European markets. It is expected to be released by next year June.
