Intel releases a NM10 low power chipset and three new Atom processors for the hardware platform named Pine Trail. The single core Atom N450 is planned for netbooks , dual core D510 and single core D410 for desktop PCs.

Pineview is the collective code name for the three new Atom processors, and featuring the Lincroft System-on-Chip (SoC) architecture and clock at 1.66GHz. Lincroft SoC architecture combines memory controller and graphics with CPU itself.

Intel now broadcasting its new chips’ smaller size, lower price and reduced power consumption when compared with its previous releases. According to the company, it has achieved 20%  gain for netbooks and 50% gain for desktops in power consumption.

The first sales of Pine Trail system is expected to be on from 4^th January. Though the prices for the three new Atom processors or NM10 Express Chipset is not yet released.
